Everett H. Kruckenberg, age 88 of Lowden, died Sunday March 5, 2016 at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday March 8, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden with Reverend Daniel Redhage officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence on Tuesday March 7, 2017. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Everett was born on September 24, 1928 in Lowden, Iowa to Richard and Alma Kohlhoff Kruckenberg. He married Ruth Nieting on May 13, 1967 in Lowden. Survivors include his wife Ruth; brothers Delbert (Doris) and Virgil of Lowden; sisters Arlene (Orville) Wulf and Eunice Boedeker of Lowden; and sister-in-law Donna Kruckenberg of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Allen. Everett was an Army Veteran serving his country during the Korean War. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden, a life long member of the Lowden Amvets, and was on the Cedar County Veteran's Affairs board for 27 years.
