Florence G. Schneider, age 104, died Saturday February 4, 2017 at Genesis West Nursing Home in DeWitt. Funeral services will be on Wednesday February 8, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland with Pastor Tommi Boeder officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. Florence was born on January 1, 1913 to John and Laura Riedesel Beuthien. She married William Burhop on November 23, 1932. He passed away on January 29, 1933. She married Julius Kelding on October 18, 1941. He passed away on May 6, 1943. She then married Norman Schneider on October 1, 1949 at Wheatland. He passed away on November 3, 1992. Florence is survived by many nieces and nephews. Florence was a hardworking woman. She raised chickens and delivered eggs on an egg route. She and her husband were very self-sufficient and she loved the outdoors, especially gardening and flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 husbands, brother Edgar Beuthien and sister Hilda Proesch.
