Florine L. Kruckenberg, 96, of Lowden, Iowa, died Monday, February 16, 2009, at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home in Wheatland, Iowa. Florine was born on August 20, 1912, in Lowden, to Paul and Elsie (Pruess) Kroemer. Florine and Carl Kruckenberg were married in Lowden on November 28, 1937. Carl died on June 16, 1970. Florine was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral services for Florine Kruckenberg will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, February 19, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Florine is survived by her daughters Lois (Wes) Rearick of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Donna Myers of Wilton, Iowa, and Elda (Larry) Doermann of Clarence, Iowa; a son Leonard of Lowden; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sister-in-laws Elfrieda Kroemer of Wheatland and Venita Kroemer of Lowden. Florine Kruckenberg was proceeded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers Edwin and Norman Kroemer.
