Fredrick H. Meier, 82, of Wheatland, Iowa, died Monday, June 18, 2012, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 2, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lowden, Iowa, with Rev. Victor Young officiating. Burial will follow at the Lutheran Cemetery, Lowden. Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, at the Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. Fredrick Henry Meier was born September 4, 1929, in Lowden, the son of Louis and Mathilda (Ernsting) Meier. He graduated from Lowden High School in 1947. On October 25, 1956, he was united in marriage to Madelyn Greve. To this union, a daughter, Crystal Ann, was born. Fredrick was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Cherishing his memory are wife, Madelyn; daughter, Crystal, Mason City, Iowa; sister, Betty (Fran) Bush, Pueblo, Colo.; brothers, Donald (Donna) Meier, Lowden, and Norman Meier, Naperville, Ill.; and sister-in-law, Kennethea Meier, Clarence, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his brother, Arnold Meier, and his parents. Memorials may be directed to the charity of choice.
