Gerald E. Steinke, age 60 of Wheatland, passed away on Monday June 14, 2021 at the Bettendorf Health Care Center. Celebration of life is July 17, 2021 at the Wheatland Community Center, 107 east Jefferson street. Leaving at 1 pm for Massillon Cemetery for burial of Gerald's ashes. 2 pm at the community center for Rev Tessa Cavey service. Luncheon after with food provided by ABATE. There will be a cash bar available. Gerald was born on June 6, 1961 to Elmer and Louisia (Ganzer) Steinke in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Gerald owned the Good Times Bar and Grill in Lowden for 27 years, was a DJ, loved motorcycles, and was a Cincinnati Reds & Kansas City Chiefs fan. He was the head coordinator of District 15 for ABATE of Iowa and sponsored bike nights and softball teams. Gerald was the originator of the "Beach Party" in Lowden, was a storyteller with a genuine sense of humor & knew everybody. Gerald was a loving father & brother and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his daughter Isadora Alden-Steinke of Wheatland and brother George (Linda) of Durant. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents.
