Gladys M. Morahn, age 86, died Friday Setember 28 at Manor Care Utica Ridge in Bettendorf,Iowa. Funeral Services will be held October 2,2012 at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland at 10:00 a.m. with Lyle Beaver officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calamus. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 at the Funeral Home.\n The daughter of Louis and Laura(Miller)Behne, Gladys was born June 8,1926 in Blooming Prairie,Minnesota. She married John R. Morahn December 17,1949 in Cedar Rapids,Iowa. They were divorced in 1973. Gladys loved music and loved to dance.\n Survivors include her son John Steven(Michelle) of Carbon,Indiana; daughter Rebecca Whiteaker of Davenport; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild;Brothers Lester(Marge)Behne of Wheatland;Bud Behne of Calamus;Lyle(Donna)Behne of Coyne Center,Ill. and Larry(Janice)Behne of Lowden;Sisters Marvel Hamman of Lost Nation and Gerry Schutt of Calamus. There are numerous nieces and nephews.\nShe was preceeded in death by her parents and 2 brothers Orville and Leo.
