Glenn S. Phillips, age 65, of Clarence, Iowa, died at his home, Thursday, November 5, 2009. He was born August 9, 1944 to Lloyd Phillips and Bernice Roelf.
Glenn was retired after serving 26 years in the Air force. He served in Viet Nam. His main interests in life were collecting arrow heads and Roman coins and fishing. Glenn was the author of the published book "Speaking Times" and he enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others.
A gathering of friends and relatives will be held Sunday from 2:00-4:00 P.M. at Chapman Funeral Home. Per Glenn's wishes, his body has been cremated and there will be no services.
He is survived by a daughter Diana Resewehr of Mechanicsville; son Troy of Tacoma, Washington; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson; his mother Bernice of Clarence; brothers Steve of Las Cruces, N.M. and Kirby of Clarence. Also surviving is his special friend Linda Hines of Clarence. He was preceded in death by his father.
