Harlan Yock, age 82, of Clarence, Iowa, died August 22, 2007, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids from declining health. Harlan was born January 10, 1925, in Clarence to Harry and Naomi (Gortner) Yock. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, August 25, 2007, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, Iowa, with Karmen Jamison officiating. Burial will follow at Clarence Cemetery with military rites by Clarence American Legion. Visitation will be held at 8:45 AM on Saturday, August 25. Harlan is survived by nephew Tom Yock of Palo and niece Jayne Billington of Santa Rosa California. Harlan was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, and brothers Harold and Clarence. Harlan had served in the Army and worked as a farm laborer.
