Harold L. Hansen, age 94 of Lowden, passed away on Saturday November 21, 2015 at the Clarence Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 24, 2015 at 11:00 A.M at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden with Reverend Daniel Redhage officiating. Burial will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M until service time at the church.
Harold was born on November 23, 1920 to Gustave and Martha (Krueger) Hansen in Lowden, Iowa. He married Margaret Buck on November 7, 1943 in Bennett.
Harold served his country in the Army in World War II and was a member of the Lowden American Legion. He spent his entire life on the family century farm, was a Trinity Lutheran Church elder and was also on the cemetery board. Harold enjoyed riding his motorcycle and playing cards at the Lowden American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; son, Howard (Marilyn) of Lowden; daughters, Ellen (Harlan) Hanks of Tipton and Elaine (Howard) Conrad of Van Horne; grandchildren, Craig (Molly) Hansen, Chad (Sonu) Hansen, Elizabeth (Randy) Shumaker, Kristy Conrad (Josh), Carrie (Jeff) Pruess, Phil Hanks (Sonja), and Kurt (Justina) Conrad; and great grandchildren, Eric, Jason, Haley, Alex, and Ava Hansen, Abbi and Andy Shumaker, Aubrie, Valerie, Emily and Levi Pruess, and Adelina Conrad.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond Hansen; and twin sons.
