Hazel Kruckenberg, age 96, of Elmwood Park, Illinois, formerly of Lowden, Iowa, died in her home, Sunday, August 23, 2009. She was born in Lowden, Iowa, July 15, 1913 to Heinrick and Anna (Ohlerich) Kruckenberg. She married Emil Kruckenberg August, 15, 1923. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 27, 2009, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland, Iowa. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Lowden, Iowa. Visitation will be held at 9:00 am on Thursday, August 27, 2009, at the funeral home until the service. Hazel is survived by a daughter, Joan Kruckenberg of Elmwood Park, Illinois. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Emil, and 9 brothers and sisters.
