Irma L. Bentrott, age 97 of Clarence and formerly of Lowden, departed this earthly life trusting in Jesus as her Savior, to enter her eternal home in heaven on Tuesday February 16, 2016 at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be held Saturday February 20 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden at 9:00 A.M until service time at 10:30. The service will be conducted by Reverend Daniel Redhage with interment to follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Irma was born in rural Lowden on January 1, 1919, the only child of Paul and Pauline (Kahl) Mensing. On December 6, 1940 she married Merle F. Bentrott. They were blessed to enjoy 72 years together before Merle's death on January 14, 2013. Surviving are son, Jerry (Tammy) Bentrott of Colorado Springs, CO and daughter, Judith (David)Dissen of Cape Girardeau, MO; four grandchildren, Christopher (Michelle) Fleming, Michael (Courtney) Bentrott, Daniel Bentrott and Rain Bentrott, all of Colorado; and a sister-in-law, Joyce (Colby) Withers of Readlyn, IA. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or the charity of choice by the donor.
