Jacob A. Maxwell, age 33 of Clinton, passed away on Thursday September 18, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City. Memorial services will be held on Sunday September 21, 2014 at 2:00 P.M at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland with Pastor Eric Swenson officiating. Jacob was born on May 8, 1981 to Robin Potter and Joseph Maxwell in Wheatland. Jacob was a loving father, son, and brother. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer of Charlotte; son, Anthony; daughters, Nataley and Steffany; brothers, Joseph Jr. (Tia) of Oklahoma, Jeremiah (Kathy) of Zwingle, and Joshua (Brooke) of Des Moines; sisters, Melissa (Daniel) Treanton of Charlotte and Kailey Potter of Wheatland; parents, Robin (Tom) Potter of Wheatland and Joseph Maxwell of Davenport; grandmother, Joanne Maxwell of Davenport; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert & Val Crum; and grandfather, James Maxwell. "When You Are Born, You Cry, and the World Rejoices.
