James G. Cunningham, age 71, of Stanwood, Iowa, died March 12, 2011, at his home. James was born March 10, 1940, in Rock Island, Illinois to Carl and Betty (Vance) Cunningham. James married Norma Hammitt on March 29, 1959 in Moline, Illinois. James had worked as a truck driver and also at the Walmart in Tipton, Iowa. James is survived by his wife Norma; son Jim (Connie) Cunningham of Colona, Illinois; daughters Carey Jo Keesey of Olympia, Washington, Michelle (Mike) Harrison of Bennett, Iowa, and Dezzera Wild of Davenport; and 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A gathering of friends and relatives will be Friday March 18, 2011, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Chapman Funeral Home, 311 5th Ave, in Clarence, Iowa. Inurnment will be at a later date.
