Obituary

James Allan Leech, age 51 of Wheatland, passed away suddenly on Sunday September 4, 2022. There will be a celebration of Jim's life on Saturday September 10 from noon to 5:00 PM at 1237 233rd Street Wheatland, Iowa 52777.

Jim was born June 4, 1971 at Davenport, Iowa to Charley and Cheryl (Russell) Leech.

Survivors include his parents; fiancée Erin Hendrickson of Wheatland; son Joshua of Wheatland; daughter Kimberly (Cody) Hammer of Clinton; brother Todd (Chong) of Cedar Rapids; sisters Kathy Henningsen of Wheatland and Amy (Michael) Adney of Goose Lake; grandchildren Elijah Vance, Chloe Kroeger, Grace Hendrickson, Grady Hendrickson, and Jonah Hendrickson; and also many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Daniel and Robert; grandparents; and aunts and uncles.

Jim was a loving caring man that would help family and friends whenever needed. He was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors as well as motorcycles, mushroom hunting, bonfires, family barbeques, working on cars, and helping his dad. He served his country in the Marines from September 1990 until September 1994 including Operation Desert Storm. He was stationed at Camp Lejuene, NC where he warehoused & inventoried unit ammunition and prepared packages for deployed units. He also supervised and trained new Marines. Jim's quote in life was "whatever you do, try your best and you will succeed".
