Janet L. Doty, age 77 of Lowden, passed away on Thursday December 10, 2015 at her home. No services will be held at this time. Janet was born on February 25, 1938 to George and Mary (Edgerton) Woodworth in Blue Springs, Nebraska. She married Charles Doty on August 8, 1975 in Rapid City, South Dakota. Janet was active in her churches throughout her life and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Charles; daughters, Sondra (Daniel) Adams of Wheatland and Kathy Sue (Leon) Leapadt of Lincoln, NE; sons, Burl Dodson of Wheatland and Wallace (Leila) Dodson of Madrid, NE; step sons, Doug (Yesenia) Doty of Atwater, MN, Neil (Pat) Doty of Fargo, N.D, and Gregory of New Orleans; step daughter, Susan (Bob) Thibedeau of Fargo, N.D; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, JoAnna Kate Dodson; a sister; and 3 brothers.
