Jeanette L. King, 77, of Lowden, Iowa died Sunday, November 20, 2005 at the Genesis West Medical Center in Davenport Iowa.
Jeanette King was born on September 5, 1928 in Lowden, Iowa, to Emil and Laura (Stolte) Wenndt. Jeanette King was united in marriage to Ralph King on September 21,1947 in Lowden. Jeanette graduated from Clarence High School in 1946. She was the former office manager of the Sun-News in Lowden. She was a member of Ladies aid, Legion Auxiliary, a member of the national and eastern x-P.O.W.'s, committee member of first ave. of the flags at the Lowden cemetery and involved in church and various card clubs. Jeanette loved supporting Ralph and his P.O.W. organizations, she enjoyed an occasional trip to the boat with her daughter, God and her country were important to her and she loved her family dearly.
Funeral Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden on Wednesday November 23, 2005, at 10:30 AM with Rev. Victor Young officiating. Burial will be at Lowden Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 22nd, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Chapman Funeral home in Clarence.
Jeanette King is survived by her husband, Ralph, of 58 years, a daughter Vicky(Rick) Brunscheen of Wyoming a son Gary(Joni) of Eldridge, a sister Deloris Kahl of Lowden, 4 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Roland.
