Jeanette Voita, age 72, of Calamus, Iowa, died February 12, 2010, at Genesis Hospital-Dewitt. Jeanette was born May 30, 1937, in West Burlington, Iowa, to Fred and Pauline (Keuhnle) Schulz. Jeanette married Neil Voita August 11, 1963, at West Burlington. Family funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at St. Paul's Cemetery-Wheatland, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 pm on Monday, February 15, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. Jeanette had been an elementary teacher at Calamus-Wheatland School before retiring in 1999. She is survived by her husband-Neil; daughters-Pam (Mike) Zeimet of Preston, Kim (Jim) Erickson of Solin, Jennifer Voita of Iowa City, and Heather (Pat) Forret of Calamus; brother Harold (Sandy) Schulz of Burlington; brother-in-law Dan Voita of Longmont, Colorado; and 6 grandchildren. Also surviving are 1 niece and 2 nephews. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and brother Lawrence Schulz.
