Jerold Jensen, age 81 of Lowden, passed away on Saturday February 1, 2014 at the Clarence Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 4, 2014 at 10:30 A.M at the Zion United Church of Christ in Lowden with Reverend Stephen Stepp officiating. Burial will follow in the Dixon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday February 3, 2014 at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence from 4-7 P.M. Jerold was born on August 9, 1932 to August and Bernetta (Nissen) Jensen in Toronto, Iowa. He married Donna Siemsen on November 26, 1955. Jerold served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a farmer and retired from Land O' Lakes in Clarence. He is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, Michael (Pamela) of Lowden, Bruce (Teresa) of Lowden, and Thomas (Jennifer) of Clarence; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; three step great-great grandchildren; and sister, Lois Brockmeyer of Lowden. Jerold was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeffrey; sister, Anita Latare; brother, Dale Jensen; and step grandson, Dustin Gardner. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Lowden EMS or the Clarence Ambulance Service.
