Jessica Jean Flynn, age 37 of DeWitt, passed away on Sunday November 22, 2015 at home with her family by her side after a hard fought and courageous battle with cancer. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday November 25, 2015 at 10:00 A.M at St. James Catholic Church in Toronto with Father Francis Odoom officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 24, 2015 from 4-7 P.M at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. Jessica was born on March 3, 1978 in DeWitt, the daughter of David Riedesel and Tracey (Kennedy) Holdorf. She married Joseph Flynn on June 19, 2004 at St. James Catholic Church in Toronto. Jessica was a stay at home mom and devoted her time to making memories with her three sons. She loved to fish and spend time outdoors with her husband and children. She enjoyed get-togethers with her siblings and their families and had a special bond with each of her nephews and nieces. Jessica loved to garage sale and shop and was great at finding a good deal. She was a terrific listener and friend, always willing to lend a hand. She had a heart of gold and a smile that lit up a room. Jessica amazed and inspired us all with her strength throughout her battle with cancer. Her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was truly a light in all of our lives and she will continue on in the hearts of all of the people she touched along the way. Jessica is survived by her loving husband, Joseph; sons, Lawrence, Landon, and Lawson; parents, David (Lizzie) Riedesel and Tracey (Scott) Holdorf; mother-in-law, Lisa Cavey; sisters, Rebecca (Zack) McCoy of Las Vegas and Stephanie (Mason) Hoel of Lake Bluff, IL; brothers, Brandon (Ashley) Riedesel of Wheatland and Kyle (Leandra) Holdorf; brother-in-law, Alex Flynn; grandparents, Roy and Barbara Riedesel of Orion, Meta and Michael Brinker of Wheatfield, IN, Patrick Kennedy of Rock Island, and Harlan and Jan Holdorf of Pittsburgh, PA; nephews, Cameron McCoy, Collin McCoy, Jackson Riedesel, Logan Riedesel, Brody Riedesel, Preston Riedesel, Owen Riedesel, and Morrison Hoel; nieces, Natalee Hoel and Summer Riedesel; and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her great grandma, Lydia Riedesel; great grandpa, Elmer Holdorf; aunt, Dawn Kennedy; and cousin, Hunter Kennedy.
