Joan M. Novak, age 76, of Wheatland, Iowa, died at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport, on April 4, 2010. Joan was born July 3, 1933, in Moline, Illinois, to Harry and Clarabell (Coburn) Forber. Joan married Lee Novak July 5, 1952, in Davenport.
There will be no funeral service. Per Joan's wishes her body has been cremated. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carroll Assistance Center, Wheatland.
Joan had operated Spring Rock Trails Food Wagon and had a riding stable where she worked with inner city kids. She also did craft shows with Mary Skinner. Her favorite pastime was scrapbooking.
She is survived by husband Lee; daughters- Diana (Greg) Ogle of Juno, Wisconsin, and Linda (Chris) Berry of Calamus; and a grandson-Taylor Berry.\n \nJoan was preceded in death by her parents and brother Harry.
