Joyce Bell, age 84 of Lowden, passed away on Wednesday October 26, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 29 at 5:00 P.M at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M until service time. Joyce was born on May 3, 1932 to Edward and Vida (Wright) Dawson in Ransom, Illinois. She married David Bell on February 9, 1956 in Crown Point, Indiana. He died December 20, 1989. Joyce loved her family and was a very loving mother and grandmother. She never forgot a birthday, and enjoyed traveling around with her family. She is survived by her son, David (Yoko) Bell of Lost Nation; daughters, Kathy (Jim) Torello of Cicero, IL, Mary Champion of Villa Park, IL, Beverly Bell of Maquoketa, and Joyce Lenart of Lowden; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, William Dawson; and daughter, Thelma.
