Joyce M. Werner, Wheatland, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2017 at the Wheatland Nursing Home. Honoring Joyce's wishes, a private interment service will be held at Van Horn Cemetery at a later date. Joyce was born on May 7, 1945 and was a life-long resident of Wheatland, graduating from Wheatland High School. She will be remembered as an incredible mother, a loving caregiver of people and places, and a dear friend. Joyce enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, gardening, cooking, reading, and going to garage sales. She is survived by her sons, Richard of Wheatland, and Mark of West Branch. Preceding her in death is her mother, Emma Drost. Joyce's family is sincerely thankful for the many ways the community has expressed care and support during the months of her illness. Your kindnesses will always be remembered.
