Judith Claudine (Followwill) Knoche, 68, of Wheatland, Iowa, formerly of Blue Grass, Iowa, died Thursday, November 27, 2008, at Wheatland Maner Nursing Home, in Wheatland, Iowa. Judith was born on January, 27, 1940, in Lancaster, Missouri to Everett and Edna (Pickens) Followwill. Judith married Thomas Knoche on March 14, 1959, in Davenport, Iowa. After marriage in 1959 Judith and Thomas Knoche resided in Davenport until moving to Blue Grass in 1966. Judi was the head bartender at the El Rancho Villa from 1965 to 1993. She then worked as a waitress at Miss Maimie's Catfish House until she retired in 2004. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cat, gardening, playing bingo, camping and fishing. Judi was the best mom in the world and a truer friend you would not find. She will be missed by everyone she touched. There will be no services or visitation. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Judith Knoche is survived by her daughter Laurie (Joe) Ganzer of Wheatland; grandson TR Ganzer and great-granddaughter Kourtney Benham. Judi was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Lloyd Followill; sister Louella Gordy; husband Tom Knoche; son Tim Knoche; daughter Letitia Knoche; and grandson JT Ganzer.
