K. Louisa Schneider, age 93 of Wheatland, passed away on Monday February 23, 2015 at the Genesis Medical Center in DeWitt. Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 26, 2015 at 10:30 A.M at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland with Reverend John Cofield officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Wheatland. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. K. Louisa was born on October 30, 1921 to John and Ernestine (Beckmann) Schneider on the Schneider homestead near Wheatland. K. Louisa attended the Davison rural school and graduated from Wheatland High School in 1939. She graduated from the Iowa State teacher's college and attended the University of Colorado. K. Louisa taught school for 15 years in Wheatland, Grand Junction, and Tipton. She worked at Colonial Manor for 10 years while also working at Horstmann's store for 50 years until she retired. K. Louisa enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable garden, and babysitting many children. She enjoyed entertaining relatives and friends. K. Louisa was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was the family historian and kept the family up to date. She is survived by her nieces and nephews. K. Louisa was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and five sisters. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Sunday School.
