Karen K. King, age 66 of Tipton, passed away on Thursday March 27, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday March 30, 2014 at 3:00 P.M at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence with Reverend David Mears officiating. Burial will follow at the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Karen was born on January 26, 1948 to Gale and Helen (McAfee) Maurer in Iowa City. She married Darold King on September 3, 1966 in Tipton. Karen loved her dogs and horses and doing farm things. Karen and Darold enjoyed traveling all over in their motorhome to dirt late model and modified races. She loved her family and loved talking sports with her boys & grandkids. She is survived by her husband, Darold; sons, Brian (Jenny) and Jeff (Teresa) of Tipton; six grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; and a great grandson. Karen was preceded in death by her parents.
