Karen L. Tripp, age 54, of rural Lowden, formerly of Tipton, Iowa, died February 21, 2008, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids after sudden illness. Karen was born June 25, 1953, in Pittsburgh, PA to Harold and Mae (Steel) Millberg. Karen married Neil Neuhart in 1977; he died in 1984. Karen was a graduate of Penn State University, where she played point guard on the women's basketball team. She had worked as a special needs teacher in Davenport and Tipton schools. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, Iowa, with Pastor Larry Wegener officiating. Burial will follow at Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Monday, February 25, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Karen is survived by her son Aaron (Shannon) Tripp of Tipton, two brothers Ron Millberg of Turnersville, New Jersey and Mike Millberg of Pittsburgh, and her special friend Jeff Robertson of Muscatine. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Neil.
