Karen Schneider, age 82 of Wheatland, passed away on Thursday December 2, 2021 at Genesis East Campus in Davenport. There will be a private family graveside service at the Massillon Cemetery. Karen was born October 26, 1939 in Davenport, Iowa to Elmer and Alice Leabo Ericksen. She married Robert Schneider on August 6, 1961. He passed away on March 9, 2021. She is survived by her son David of Wheatland; daughter Theresa (T.J.) Gulbrandson of Pinedale, Wyoming; grandson Nick Houzenga; and sister Lana Barkley of Massillon. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Karen enjoyed her time that she was employed working at Harry's Tire in Wheatland as well as her trips out west with her husband. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson Nick. Karen was an avid basketball player in her early years and liked to tell about her time traveling with the Harlem Globetrotters.
