Karyl Kay Hartwig, age 71, of Clarence, Iowa, died Monday, April 9, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids after sudden illness. Karyl was born October 19, 1935, in Clarence, Iowa to Norman and Ruth (Barnhart) Hartwig. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 14, 2007, at St. John's United Church Of Christ with Reverend David Mears officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, April 14. Karyl was preceded in death by her parents. Karyl was survived by sisters Rosalee (Reg) Lewis of Bellingham, Washington and Joselyn (Charles) Haefner of Tucson, AZ, and brother Norman J. (Linda) Hartwig of Castle Rock, CO. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
