Kathryn A. Wallace, 88, of Marion and formerly of Clarence, died Tuesday May 21, 2013 at the Hiawatha Care Center. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 25, 2013 at the Clarence Methodist Church at 1:00 P.M with Pastor Barbara Krueger officiating. Burial will follow in the Clarence Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M until service time. Kathryn was born on May 29, 1924 to Harry H. and Ruth (Berryhill) Crist in Cedar Rapids. Kathryn was a Cedar County 4-H leader, a 10 year employee at Iowa Electric, and a 20 year volunteer at the St. Luke's Foundation. She is survived by two daughters, Jane (Buzz) Olson of Surprise, Arizona and Jennifer (Peter) Meyer of Oyster Bay, New York; sister, Virginia (Russell) Buchanan of Algona, Iowa; grandchildren, Justin Ruch, Amanda Meyer, Griffin Meyer and Nicholas Meyer; and two great grandchildren, Brayden and Brielle Ruch. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth Crist; and sister, Barbara Meyer.
