Kathryn Gail Dickel, age 75 of Wheatland, passed away on Sunday August 30, 2015 at Genesis West Medical Center in Davenport. Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 5, 2015 at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland at 11:00 A.M with Reverend Eric Swenson officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Wheatland. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M until service time at the funeral home. Kathryn was born on May 15, 1940 to Raymond and Abigail (Tasker) Kuehl in Davenport, Iowa. She married Karl Dickel on February 8, 1997 at St. Paul's UCC in Wheatland. Kathryn loved her family and everybody that was around her. She was a very loving person and was very talented at making anything. She liked to tinker. Kathryn also loved her Iowa Hawkeyes, enjoyed going fishing, and loved her animals. She is survived by her husband, Karl of Wheatland; sons, William Lyle Sigler II "Mickey" of Chicago and Brent (Vicki) Sigler of Blue Grass; grandchildren, Abigail and Carter Sigler and Cayla Gorsh; great grandson, Jordy Akright; brother, Johnny Kuehl of Davenport; sister, Macy Beckner of Rockville, MD; and special niece, Karen Kuehl who helped her with her battle with cancer this past year. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents and 4 sisters.
