Keith L. Flockhart, age 88, passed away on Thursday November 25 at the Clarence Nursing Home. Visitation will be held from 2-5 PM at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence on Sunday November 28 with a Masonic Service starting at 5 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday November 29 at 10:30 AM at the Stanwood Union Church with Pastor Ron Lashmit officiating. Burial will follow in the Stanwood Cemetery.
Keith was born November 18, 1933 in Springville, Iowa to Roy and Leah Sproston Flockhart. He married Jeraldine Paist on July 22, 1955 at Stanwood.
Survivors include his wife Jeraldine "Jeri"; sons Michael (Teresa) of Lisbon and Bruce (Peg) of Mechanicsville; daughter Michelle (Mike) Long of Lisbon; grandchildren Sean and Tyler Flockhart, Lindsae (Steven) Long, Nicholas Long, and Emily Flockhart; great grandchildren Adeline and Mason Herlocker; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; and 2 granddaughters Jennifer and Laurie Flockhart.
Keith served his country in the Army for 2 years and is a member of the Stanwood Masonic Lodge 616. Aside from his family and friends, his passion in life was baseball and Keith played for many local leagues and town teams. He also played fast pitch softball for Flecks Falstaff Team and played in the World Tournament in 1962. Keith also enjoyed wintering in Apache Junction, AZ with Jeri. Many recognized Keith by his whistle and he was a friend to many and always ready to lend a hand.
