Keith E. Russell, age 91 of Clarence, passed away on Saturday September 26, 2015 at the Clarence Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday September 30, 2015 at the Clarence United Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M with Pastor Carol Mart officiating. Burial will follow at the Clarence Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M until service time at the church. Keith was born on November 18, 1923 in Clarence, Iowa to Willard and Thelma (Leinbaugh) Russell. He married Dorothy Horstmann on June 16, 1951 in Wheatland. Keith loved baseball and was a big Cubs fan. His farm & cattle were what mattered most to him. He was a member of the Freemont Masonic Lodge, a Shrine member, and a member of the Cattlemen's Association. He also was a St. Bernard dog lover. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; son, Larry (Suzanne) of Clarence; daughters, Candice (Denny) Hulse and Gwendy (Kirby) Phillips, both of Clarence; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie, Branden, Shannon, Lisa, Greg and Angie; and 6 great grandchildren. Keith was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mariam Sather; and great grandson, Carson.
