Kelly Hamdorf, age 39, of Erie, Illinois and formerly of Wheatland, Iowa died Sunday, November 18, 2007, at Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport following a sudden illness. Kelly was born May 1, 1968, in Davenport, Iowa to Lloyd and Janice (Fox) Hamdorf. Kelly was previously married to Michelle Delever of Calamus, Iowa. He married Trishia Westerfield on January 9, 2007. Kelly enjoyed camping, fishing, snowmobiling, and boating. He was a board member at the Erie campgrounds. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 24, 2007, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland, Iowa with Reverend Laird Keever officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 on Friday, November 23, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Kelly is survived by his wife Trishia; parents Jan and Lloyd Hamdorf of Wheatland; daughter Kailey of Calamus; sister Kerri (Tom) Nykoluk of Davenport; grandmothers Bonnie Fox and Clara Hamdorf of Wheatland; step-children Damian and Ciara Delever of Calamus and Jaryd and Jordan Westerfield of Erie, Illinois; special friends Chris Lyons, Cory and Brandon. Kelly was preceded in death by 2 grandfathers.
