Kenneth C. Lund, 78, of Clarence, Iowa died Thursday, January 1, 2009, at Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport after a sudden illness. Kenneth was born to William and Martha (Reclefs) Lund on July 4, 1930, at their farm in rural Clarence. Kenneth married in 1956 and had a daughter Judy who passed away shortly after birth and then had a son, James Lund. He then married Chloerene Johnson in 1984.
Kenneth farmed on the family farm all his life. His hobby was making scale model farm equipment. He had sold some of his models for as much as $2,300. An article about his work was published in the September 2006 issue of the Toy Farmer.
Funeral services for Kenneth Lund will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at the Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, with Reverend Barbara Muhs officiating. Burial will be in the Clarence Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00am until service time on Wednesday.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Chloerene; son James of Lowden; sister Ann Gottschalk of Lowden; grandson Adam of Davenport; great-grandson Mitchell of Davenport; 3 step-sons Gregory Johnson of Las Vegas, Nevada, John (Carol) Johnson of Davenport, Kurt (Debbie) Johnson of Springdale Arkansas; 4 step-grandsons; 1 step granddaughter; several nephews and one niece; and a special friend, Rob Kemp of Las Vegas, Nevada.
