Kenneth Kolwey, age 85, of East Moline (originally of Wheatland) passed away Saturday December 30, 2017 at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland on Saturday January 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 also at the church. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Wheatland with Military Rites.
He is survived by his Wife Virginia; daughters Karen Kolwey of Denver, CO and Sharon (Mike) Keenan of Seminole, FL ; two grandchildren Alison and Sean Keenan; a stepdaughter; 6 step sons; 23 step grandchildren; and 16 great step grandchildren.
Ken was born September 3, 1932 in Buffalo, IA to William Kolwey and Helen King. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Flenker after 46 years of marriage, daughter Linda, son Lee and siblings William and Richard Kolwey, sister Helen Koepp and brother Duane King.
He was an Air Force Veteran in the Korean War. Ken was a farmer who enjoyed fishing and cards along with playing horseshoes and his RV. He was a former Lost Nation Legion member.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Legion.
