Kenneth F. "Sunny" Walker, age 73, passed away on Monday April 17, 2017 at the Clarence Nursing Home. Funeral services will be on Friday April 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence with Reverends Tot Taylor and Bob Payne officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Clarence Cemetery.
Sunny was born on August 7, 1943 in Galesburg, IL to Kenneth and Beulah (Poder) Walker. He married Connie Allison on January 19, 1972 in Keokuk, IA.
Sunny loved the Lord more than anything and had a prison ministry. He loved camping and the outdoors, and above all loved his family and friends (including his cat, Frank). He was a very social person and never met a stranger. Sunny loved his country and was a very patriotic man.
Survivors include his wife, Connie; son, Jerry C. Ellis Walker of Memphis, TN; daughter, Laurie Lynn Vaughn of Wisconsin; three grandsons, Justin, Jeremy and Jamie Vaughn; sisters, Cindy Starkey of Waterloo and Patricia Eastman of Evansdale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sunny was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Beverly Swyers and Judy Anne Shadlow; and brother, James E. Walker.
