Kerry W. Van Waes, age 66 of Lowden, passed away on Thursday February 17, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Visitation will be held at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence on Tuesday February 22 from 5-7 PM. Kerry was born on July 12, 1955 to Frank W. and Jo Ann Myers Van Waes. Survivors include his father; uncle Dennis Van Waes; and aunt Nancy Coan. He was preceded in death by his mother and sister Kathy. Kerry was a jailer at the Scott County Jail for 31 years. He enjoyed woodworking and glass making. He also was a past member of the Quad Cities Bass Club, was a huge Chicago Black Hawk and Cubs fan, and was a dog lover.
