Lana R. Woodard, age 66 of Big Rock, passed away on Thursday March 6, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Monday March 10, 2014 at 10:30 A.M at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland with Pastor Josh McKinney officiating. Burial will follow at the Dixon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday March 9, 2014 from 3-6 P.M at Chapman's in Wheatland. Lana was born on September 3, 1947 to George Sr. and Nellie (LaShelle) Creighton in Savanna, Illinois. She married Jeffrey L. Woodard, Sr. on July 14, 1978 in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Lana attended Thomson Community School in Thomson, Ill., attained her GED through Kirkwood, and also took computer courses at St. Ambrose. She was well known in the Dixon Community, and loved her kitties and dogs. Lana also loved her foamies and peeps. She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; sons, Larry (Julia) Doub of Viola, Ill. and Jeffery (Jodie) Noble of Drakesville, Ia.; stepsons, Jeffrey (Corina) Woodard of Charles City, Ia. and James (Angela) Woodard of Okinawa, Japan; stepdaughters, Heather Woodard of Cedar Rapids and Rebecca Woodard Cole of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Darline Clarke of Clinton, Pamalee (Robert) Eninger of Alexandria, Va., and Melodie (Mary Rand) Creighton of Oskaloosa; brothers, John Creighton of Chesapeake Beach, Md. and Robert (Trudy) Wells of Temperence, Mi.; many grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews. Lana was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen; and brother, George Jr.
