Larry A. Traver, age 70 of Wheatland, passed away on Wednesday November 16, 2016 at Wheatland Manor. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery, Calamus on Saturday November 19, 2016. Larry was born on September 25, 1946 to Arthur and Marjorie (Smith) Traver in Calamus, Iowa. Larry loved both bicycles and motorcycles, and his favorite pasttime was watching his son Ben race. Larry was also a Army Veteran. He is survived by his son, Ben (Stacy) Traver of Lowden; step daughter, Tracy Johnson of Bettendorf; grandchildren, Lilian Traver and Kaylynn & KaCee Kessler; great granddaughter, Paisley Tenley; brother, Marty (Michelle) Traver of Wheatland; sisters, Susan (Dale) Barnett of Rock Island and Mary Ann Smoloczyk of Colorado. Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
