Leland E. Wagner, 72, of Stanwood died Saturday, May 12, 2007, at his home after a sudden illness. Leland was born on July 1, 1934, in Coon Rapids, Iowa to Albert and Dorothy (Herron) Wagner. Leland married Joyce Tenley on July 1, 1957 in Tipton, Iowa. Funeral services for Leland will be held at the Stanwood Union Church on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Phil Leipold officiating. Brial for Leland will be at the Stanwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Leland served in the Marines from 1954-1958. From 1958-1967 he worked as a hired hand at various farms in the Stanwood, Mechanicsville, and Onslow areas. From 1967-1996 he worked for Moormans Feed. Leland enjoyed gardening, the Iowa Hawkeyes, fudge, bus trips and especially his family. Leland is survived by his wife Joyce; daughter Brenda (Ron) Thole of Ashton, Iowa; sons Randy (Lauralea) of California City, Ca and Danny (Aimee) of Tipton; Nine Grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sisters: Leora (Richard) Tenley of Mechanicsville, Norma (Richard) Luckstead of Olin, Violet Brinkman of Missouri. Leland was proceeded in death by his parents and brother Richard.
