Lillian Anna "Lil" Kelly, age 95 of Clarence, passed away peacefully in the morning hours of Friday June 13, 2025. Funeral services will be held at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence on Tuesday June 17 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Karmen Jamison officiating. Casual attire is adequate. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Clarence Cemetery.

Lil was born December 2, 1929 on a farm near Clarence to Harold and Margaret (Feddersen) Meier and grew up in Eastern Iowa. She married Albert "Bert" Kelly on July 24, 1951 in Clarence. He passed away November 25, 1996.

She is survived by her son Kevin (Brenda) and his daughter Maple (Jeff) Ament and their children Ridge and Grid Ament; son Forrest, his daughter Autumn and her daughter Mia; daughter Dixie (Roger) Raiber and their daughter Crystal (Matt) Raiber Wilkey and their children Harry and George; sister Linda (Paul) Kirstein; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Robin; and husband Bert.

Lil graduated from Clarence High School in 1948, and after marriage spent 2 years in California while Bert served in the Marine Corps. They returned to Iowa where they spent the next 45 years farming in Clarence. She spent her time raising her family, helping on the farm, gardening, tending her chickens and her many different dogs she had.

She was a member of the Clarence United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star, and the Legion Auxiliary.

Memorials may be directed to the Friends of the Animals, the Clarence Methodist Church, or a charity of your choice.
