Linda L. Licht, age 68, of Lowden, Iowa, lost her battle with cancer at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa, on Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Linda was born on September 6, 1942, in Davenport, Iowa, to Warren and Edna (Dallege) Ahrens. Linda and Jeffrey Licht married on September 5, 1987, in Lowden. Linda had worked as a CNA and also was co-owner of Lincolnway Flower Farm in Lowden. Funeral services for Linda Licht will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Christian Free Lutheran Church in Wheatland, Iowa. Her body will be cremated following the service. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00pm on Friday, May 1, 2009 at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Linda is survived by her husband Jeff; daughters Kim (Joe) Watkins of Pendleton, Oregon, Tracy Rathert of Phoenix, Arizona, Megan (Steve) Fischer of Davenport; step-sons Michael Licht and Jim Licht and step-daughter Suzy Ziegler; grandchildren Jacob, Sarah, Riley, Abby, Aaron, Jackson and step-grandchild Olivia; and brother Ron (Sally) Ahrens of Tipton. Linda Licht was proceeded in death by her parents.
