Linda M. Burns, age 58, of Lowden, Iowa, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at University Hospital Iowa City. Linda was born April 24, 1948, in Davenport, Iowa to Thomas and Dorothy (Peitscher) Smith. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Saturday at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Following the visitation her body will be cremated. There will be no services. Linda was a graduate of Clarence-Lowden High School and Central College at Pella. She had served in the United States Navy for 10 years. Linda was preceded in death by father. Linda was survived by her daughter, Kari Burns of Clarence; mother, Dorothy Smith of Lowden; brother, Robert Smith of Lowden; and friend, Linda Rawlinson of San Diego California.
