Lloyd Henry Burmeister, age 85, of Tipton and formerly of Clarence, passed away on Sunday May 26, 2013 at the Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton. Funeral Services will be held\n on Friday May 31, 2013 at 11:00 A.M at the Clarence United Methodist Church with Pastor Carol Mart officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery at a later date with graveside military rites by VFW Post 2537 and American Legion Post 123. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 30, 2013 from 4-7 P.M at Chapman's in Clarence. Lloyd was born to John and Clara (Gade) Burmeister on December 3, 1927 in Lowden. He married Fannie Collins on January 27, 1951 in Solam, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife, Fannie of Tipton; four daughters, Bonnie Burmeister of Stanwood, Barbara (Eugene E.) Kula of Anamosa, son; Bobby (Kelly) Burmeister of Clarence Beverly (Donnie) Dawson of Clarence, and Brenda (Denny) Snow of Tipton; brother, Dale Burmeister of Clarence; two sisters, Shirley (Harlan) Meyer of Stanwood and Kennethea Meier of Clarence; and 13 granchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.\n \n He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; one grandson; two infant sisters and a daughter-in-law.
