Lois P. Yutesler, age 81, died Friday September 2, 2016 at the Clarence Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday September 6, 2016 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence, with Tommi Boeder officiating, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior. A lunch will be provided before burial at Inland Cemetery in Bennett.
Lois was born on August 2, 1935 to Richard and Claudine VonEssen Licht on the family farm in Lowden. She married Darrell Yutesler on May 26, 1956 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden. Darrell Passed away on June 3, 2013.
Survivors include 3 sons Terry (Kris) of Bennett, Rick (Sheila) of Bettendorf, Darrell Jr. (Jody) of Lowden; daughter Linda (Mike) Anderson of Bennett; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; brothers Alvin Licht of Lowden, Larry Licht of Clarence, Marvin Licht of Cambridge, Il; sisters Lucille Horman of Lowden, Eleanor Wenndt of Cedar Rapids and Elaine Kroh of Wheatland. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter Jody Anderson.
Lois was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence and the Lowden Legion Auxillary. Lois was a farm wife for many years before working at Midwest Metals in Cedar Rapids for 15 years. She then went to work at the Clarence Nursing Home for 6 years in various areas. Lois enjoyed playing cards, baking and eating out with family and friends.
