Louise Deke, age 94, of Lowden, Iowa, Tuesday, July 1, 2007, at the Winslow House in Marion, Iowa. Louise was born October 21, 1913, in Lowden to Carl and Louise (Kroemer) Wenndt. Louise married Marven Deke on October 21, 1934 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, July 7, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden, Iowa, with Reverend Greg Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, July 6, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Louise was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Marven and Louise were custodians of Trinity for 17 years after they retired from 42 years of farming. Louise is survived by her daughter Marilyn Mulbrook of Marion; son Sonny (Mary) Deke of Marion; daughter Diane (Robert) Kibby of Ely; seven grandchildren: Michael (Brenda) Mulbrook, Mark (Diane) Mulbrook, Matthew (Lois) Mulbrook, Scott (Kari) Kibby, Trent (Lori) Kibby, Sonda (Jeff) Maneman, Kamila Demuth; one step grandchild, Mark Gilmore; ten great grandchildren: Nathan, Erin, Megan, Stephanie, Nicholas, Nathan, Katie, Jacob, Ryan, Sam; and one step great grandchild, Jessica. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marven, daughter-in-law Golda Deke, son-in-law Larry Mulbrook great grandson Benjamin Mulbrook; seven brothers: Henry, Martin, Richard, Carl, Edwin, Marvin, Sylvan and three sisters: Martha, Emma and Augusta.
