Louise D. Homrighausen, age 96 of Lowden, passed away on Tuesday August 26, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 30, 2014 at Faith Lutheran Church in Calamus at 10:30 A.M with Pastor Nate Montover officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Wheatland. Visitation will be held on Friday August 29, 2014 at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland from 4-7:30 P.M.
Louise was born on February 21, 1918 to Daniel and Caroline (Dralle) Danielsen in Calamus. She married Junior Homrighausen on June 27, 1943 in Buena Vista.
Louise worked at First Trust & Savings Bank in Wheatland and Dixon for 50 years. She had a passion for playing cards and the Chicago Cubs, Bulls, and Bears. Louise was a devoted mother and wife and enjoyed life to the fullest with a positive attitude.
She is survived by her husband, Junior; daughters, Neva (Jerome) Niedorf of Las Vegas, NV. and Nancy (Dan) Nietfeldt of Wheatland; Brother Edward Danielsen of Sherrard, Il; Sister Arla Mae (Richard) Ebers of Lowden; 7 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Peggy; brother, Theodore; and sister, Dorothy McMain.
