Luciann Arends, age 71 of Oxford Junction, passed away on Thursday December 2, 2021 at Unity Point St Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. To honor Luciann's request, there will be no services. She was born December 9, 1950 in Anamosa, Iowa to Marion and Lela Reid Ginkens. She married DeWayne Arends on April 13, 2002. Survivors include her husband DeWayne; sons William (Denise) Robert Ginkens and Cory (Christi) Lee Kintzel; brother William Reid Ginkens; grandchildren Ashley and Brittany Ginkens, Chris and Cory Carlyle, Emma Anderson, and Sam Kintzel; great granddaughter Braelyn Carlyle; niece Amythest Warrington; and nephew Soren Hultman. She was preceded in death by her parents. Lucy spent her lifetime working with horses and had a World Champion paint mare at one time.
