Lucille M. Corrick, age 91, of Lowden, Iowa, died Sunday, December 3, 2006, at Hiawatha Care Center in Hiawatha, Iowa, following an extended illness. Lucille was born January 20, 1915, in Elma, Iowa, to Thomas and Elizabeth (Silver) Kelly. Lucille married Everett Corrick in 1938 and they lived in Elma.
Celebration of Life service will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lost Nation, Iowa on Thursday, December 7, 2006, at 11:00 A.M. with Bill Kneemiller officiating. Lucille's body has been cremated and internment will be at a later date at Elma, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church on Thursday.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers. Lucille is survived by her sons Robert (Phyllis) of Bettendorf and Thomas (Judy) of Sun Lakes, Arizona; daughters Michaeleen (Al) Duncan of St.Paul, Minnesota and Debra (Terry) O'Neil of Cedar Rapids; a sister Myrna Hughes of Cedar Rapids; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Lucille had owned and operated Lucille's Beauty Shop for many years in Elma. She then worked as a supervisor for Comprehensive Systems in Elma from 1971-1985 before retirement. She moved to Lowden in 1990 and resided there until January of 2006. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Toronto and the American Legion Auxilliary in Lowden. She enjoyed playing cards, raising a flower garden and sharing her love of life with others.
