Ludwig J. Oltmanns, age 86, of Lowden - Formerly Of Anamosa, Iowa, died July 2, 2008, at Anamosa Care Center of a lengthy illness. Ludwig was born July 21, 1921, in Anamosa, Ia . to Albert L. and Anna (Hinrichs) Oltmanns. Ludwig J. Ludwig was born July 21, 1921, in Anamosa to Albert L. and Anna (Hinrichs) Oltmanns. Ludwig was an active Issac Walton Lodge Member. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm (visitation 1 hour prior to service) on Monday, July 7, 2008, at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church in Monticello, Iowa, with Pastor Jonathon Kosec officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Zion Church Cemetery. Visitation will also be held from 4:00-6:00pm on Sunday, July 6, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Pallbearers for the service include Harvey Oltmanns, Dennis Oltmanns, Chris Oltmanns, Noel Licht, Bruce Winch, Randy Winch, Marlon Lange, Kevin Lange, Rodney Lange, and David Hintz. Ludwig is survived by his brothers Henry (Rosie) of Anamosa and Ervin (Marcia) of Marion; sisters Catharine (Alvin) Licht of Lowden, Martha (Martin) Winch of Marion, Emma Lange of Lowden, Annie (Edgar) Hintz of Lowden, and Alberta (Marvin) Boysen of Marion. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Ludwig was preceded in death by his parents and sister Lena Oltmanns.
